Paros
The beautiful island of Paros is the third largest Cycladic island, with a coastal length of approximately 120 km. From antiquity, Paros has been famous for its white marble, which is extracted till today. Paros offers its visitors beautiful natural surroundings and characteristic picturesque blue and white villages, which enhance its Greek atmosphere. The whitewashed houses and narrow lanes are particularly pretty with their intricate balconies and arches as well as their cascading flowers and vines.
You can find something for every taste here, no matter what you are looking for; whether it be peace and quiet or activity and nightlife. A lot of artists and windsurfers have made Paros their second home. There are many beautiful beaches on Paros from hidden sandy bays framed by unusual rock formations to long sand and dune beaches. The island abounds in small churches and chapels and impressive monasteries as well as, archaeological excavations, all of which bear great importance to Greek history.
